Fees are $22.00 per night for single family sites, with a maximum stay of 14 days.

Sitting about 6,000 feet in elevation, South Shore Campground is located on beautiful Bear River Resorvior. This campground has 19 sites and is located 8 miles south of Highway 88 on Bear River Road. The campground offers tent units with a spur length of 25 - 40 feet. Tent, trailer or R.V. sites are available with spur lengths of 30' feet. There are two walk in campsites, and four double family sites. A limited number of campsites can be reserved.

    Fishing:
    Rainbow trout are stocked by the Department of Fish & Game at Bear River Reservoir. Although fishing is allowed year round, the lake is not accessible in the winter.

    On site facilities:
    19 sites, vault toilets, fire rings, trash service, piped water.

    Seasonal Information:
    Normal services available early May through Mid-October. (Season length will depend on the weather.)

    Directions:
    40 miles east of Jackson. From Highway 88, turn onto Bear River Road and travel south approximately 6 miles. Stay on Bear River Road and follow signs towards South Shore Campground. Follow signs for Pardoes Point and make left towards campground.

    Things You Should Know:

  • Sites are limited to a maximum of 2 vehicles and 6 people. (Additional fees are required for extra vehicles.)
  • Please contact Campground Host prior to setting up campsite.
  • Rules and regulations are posted at entrance of campground on information board. Camp host can also provide information.
  • Golden Age/Access passports are accepted.
  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all time. Maximum of 2 dogs per site.
  • Campfires must be contained within the campfire ring.
  • Please only use dead and down fire wood for camp fires. Camp hosts also may have firewood for purchase. Please contact host for details.
  • Make sure your campfire is dead out before leaving. (Please "drown" campfire with water, do not use dirt.)
  • Check out time is 2:00 P.M.
